Matthew 2:1-2 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
Dear Friends and Family, Pam and I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthful and prosperous New Year. All month this month our Pastor is preaching about, not the gifts we give to each other at this time of year but, about the gifts God gives to us all year round. Here are just a few of those gifts: The gift of His precious Son Jesus Christ, the gift of the Holy Spirit, the gift of life, the gift of salvation, the gift of faith, the gift of His presence, and the gift of His love, just to mention a few. Another gift God has given us this year, is the gift of His unmerited favor. Pam and I are so happy to be celebrating the holidays at home again this year. After spending four and a half years in a nursing home, God brought Pam home in 2017. It was amazing, all the things God had to do to make this possible. Everything from my health, to her health, to home health care workers, and even finances. God took care of everything and Pam and I are still doing great, and we are so happy and thankful to God. We will always remember that Christmas as the Christmas we received a Christmas miracle and we are so thankful to the true Christmas miracle, Jesus Christ, for making our dreams come true. Don’t ever stop believing in miracles my friends, and that Jesus, the true Star Of Christmas, has a miracle just for you. Praise the holy name of Jesus!
Star Of Christmas
Magi traveled by night from afar,
Bearing gifts for a babe while chasing a star.
The shepherds sought him and there he lay,
God made flesh asleep on the hay.
There beside him knelt his mother Mary,
A virgin to that day.
Her body a temple to the living God,
A vessel made of clay.
Angels announced his birth in song,
To only a chosen few.
Their voices sang of God’s desire,
To love gentile as much as Jew.
As the animals knelt by the stable door,
All the angels in heaven did sing.
Of God now with us in the world,
Of Christ our new born king.
