Jesus Lifted Me – Vol 1

He Lives

Luke 24:2-9 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!

Continued: Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ” Then they remembered his words

The angels ask those who were present, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!” Yes indeed, He is risen from the dead, and He lives still today! I am so thankful that over 30 years ago, I too had an encounter with our risen Lord. That’s when I invited Him into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior, and He continues to live in my heart to this very day! If he had not risen, I cannot imagine what my life and my wife’s life would’ve been like over the past 30 some odd years. That’s about when my wife was diagnosed with MS. Her condition continued to decline but, Jesus stood by us constantly through the years and ministered at the point of our greatest need. He ministered and provided for all our needs, spiritually, physically and monetarily! Because he rose and lives today, my wife and I have lived normal lives. People looking in from the outside wonder how we do it, but to us our lives have always seemed normal because of the Lord’s presence and provision. Because he did rise over 2000 years ago, my wife and I have always had hope, and even with her MS and the baggage I brought into our marriage, we have never lived defeated lives. Because of Christ in our hearts, we have always maintained positive and hopeful attitudes about the future. And even in our condition, we have always served God by serving others. None of this would’ve been possible if Jesus had not risen and the stone had not been rolled away. Praise the holy name of Jesus!

He Lives

I wasn’t there on that day,

When Jesus rose from the dead.

But I was there thirty years ago,

When He came to me and said.

I am the way, the truth, and the life,

No one comes to the Father except through me.

I then asked in a humble voice,

Forgive my sins and set me free.

Oh how my heart did soar,

As the tears streamed down my face.

Jesus Christ is the door,

That leads to the Father’s throne of grace.

Jesus Christ is alive today,

He’s loved you from the start.

Ask Him to forgive your sin,

And come to live within your heart.
