Blessings

22 December 2022 Then Isaiah said, “Hear now, you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of humans? Will you try the patience of my God also? Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel Isaiah 7:13-14 .After I first invited Christ into my heart, and started to read and become aware of what was written in the Bible, I remember my surprise when I realized that there were many prophecy’s written in the Old Testament, that spoke of the coming of the Messiah. The above referenced verses is just on...

Be Holy

17 December 2022 Isaiah 55:10-11 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. I’m not sure if I’m a masochist, or just someone who is a real glutton for punishment. It seems that throughout my Christian life, God has always given me the tough cases, even though my wife was diagnosed with MS sh...

Star Of Christmas

13 December 2022 Matthew 2:1-2 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” Dear Friends and Family, Pam and I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthful and prosperous New Year. All month this month our Pastor is preaching about, not the gifts we give to each other at this time of year but, about the gifts God gives to us all year round. Here are just a...

Hope

8 December 2022 1 Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time I was reminded today of just how awesome and mighty our God is. When I look down the road to the future of this country, and this world, I simply don’t see much hope. When I loo...

Thank You Lord

Today is Thanksgiving Day, and what better day to thank the Lord for all that he has done for us, and to testify about his wonderful deeds. The wonderful things that the Lord has done for my wife and I over the years, are two numerous to tell in this short devotional. Therefore, I would like to take this time to thank the Lord for the most important thing that he has ever done for me. It was that day on Calvary’s cross when he gave up his very own life for me. Over 2000 years later, I had an encounter with our risen Lord while driving down the autobahn in Germany, at 200 km/h. It is that exper...

Then Lord You Amaze Me

Can you just imagine what type of world this would be, if everyone used the gift, talents and abilities they have been given, in order to serve others instead of themselves. Paraphrasing John 12: 43, “they prefer the praise of man more than the praise of God.” There are many ways in which people receive the praise of man. It is not just by the applause they receive from others, but it is also by the monetary rewards that they might receive. In other words, when we use the gifts talents and abilities we have received from God, they should be used for God’s glory and not our own. I am not just t...

Bread And Wine

Matthew 6:11 Give us today our daily bread. Today is the Sabbath and I didn’t do any work today, but I did take a load of nonperishable food items to our church, where it will be bagged up and delivered to a few of the homeless sites in this area. The pastor and several deacons we’re on hand to unload the van and take the food items inside. While they were unloading the van a homeless man approached us and asked for a few dollars. The pastor said that he had no money, but he had plenty of food. That wasn’t what the homeless man was looking for, so one of the deacons did give him a few d...

Faith Or Emotion

Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him I don’t know when it happened, or what we did to deserve it, but it seems like here lately, based on the verse referenced above, that our faith must have increased somewhat, because God has been so richly pouring out his blessings upon my wife and I. Like I said, I don’t know why, or what we did to deserve it. I suppose it’s because of what the Bible tells us, that God will have mercy upon those he chooses to have mer...

Age Of Darkness

Matthew 10:16 “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves This month WhisperArt’s focus is on those organizations that look out for the protection, health and welfare of animals. As a matter fact, I will be adding the ASPCA to the list of organizations that WhisperArt supports. When I read the verse referenced above, I wouldn’t say that I am very innocent, but I would say that I am very naïve about the things of the world, and how the world works. When I started thinking and praying about the verse referenced above, my little ...
